Note to Steve Jobs and Apple Inc: Users want flash

Steve’s eternal riveting rendition of egotism over Apple’s supposedly superior hardware and codecs have sent apple users from all walks of life into defense mode for the current rival “Adobe”. While Adobe hasn’t revolutionized anything in ages its still the staple for many forms of multimedia, something that each handheld device apple has pumped out lacks. While Mr. Jobs’ personal opinions hold merit within the walls of the company he helms this is not true for its consumers who have long been demanding and seeking ways of implementing flash into their iphones. Posts across facebook, twitter, myspace and many technology sites indicate the public is close to turning on Apple. While many expect the Ipad to fly off shelves others have started to look for damage control and have rolled back the expected number of sales. I personally have been a Mac fanboy since I laid my hands on a device, I currently am looking to other companies for my needs in the future. If it wasn’t for my still going 2 year plan with AT&T I would open my 4th floor window and chuck my Iphone to the curb (screen first of course).

The fact remains that apple promises you the best hardware experience yet delivers very little of it by excluding other companies and by preventing it’s consumers from doing as they please with their devices. I do not wish for anyone to have the experience I recently had where my iphone froze and required I restore it. The days of restoring your iphone yourself are long gone. I was in a location with absolutely no internet service for a weekend therefore I had to forego my usage of my device for an entire weekend. All thanks to Jobs and his attempts at keeping us safe. LMAO! I suppose keeping me safe means having a non working iphone in the event of an emergency…Gee thank you apple inc. I’ll crawl to the nearest pay phone to call an ambulance if I need help. Never before has a company lost so much of its credibility in such a short period of time. The fact that apple still believe its their device after you plunk down your hard earned cash should speak volumes. We the mac community once wagged our fingers at windows for being an evil empire. We should now be human enough to turn around and point the finger at ourselves for creating this monster. The ipad will come and go and I will never own one, why? Well several macbook heating flaws that cost me mountains of data losses, several iphone replacements, several leopard updates that rendered my macbook useless, and one steep expense of replacing a logic board (apple’s overheating burned it out) have turned me into anything but an apple supporter.

I remembered when i’d hound the internet for information on the latest gossip about Apple, now I couldn’t frankly give two flying leaps about a company I once loved. All thanks to the controlling powers that be.

Goodbye apple..I bid you farewell and good luck treating your customers like children you must spank so they live by your rules. Long live Linux and open source where your device is your device to do with as you please. Still I can’t help but imagine how much better the Iphone would be if it supported flash..I guess when my contract is up i’ll hop into bed with google at least they’ll let me watch all the flash videos I want and don’t require I install their workhorse store on my computer in order to manage my files with restrictions!

Now click your heels but we aren’t in Kansas anymore you are still the midget of the industry with 2 devices that made you attractive to even the biggest windows users. Now that the lust for those devices is fading let’s see what new trick you can pull out..perhaps the Jobs “rules to handling consumers” will save you again..but likely it won’t.
