The digital cosmetic mirror is a cool way for women to test makeup without actually having to apply the makeup to their face. Right now the cosmetic mirror is only available in Japan and can be found in the Takashimaya department store.

The mirror is really easy to use.  All a person has to do is sit down and allow a camera to scan their face. Once their face is scanned into the computer system, the mirror will give an individual recommendations that caters to their specific skin tone and facial features.  The recommendations are then digitally applied to the photo that was scanned into the computer.

The digital cosmetic mirror is perfect for the woman that does not enjoy having to try on a lot of different makeup brands at the cosmetic counters. By doing things digitally, a woman can place makeup on a virtual version of herself without having to repeatedly clean and reapply new makeup. Once a person finds whatever makeup is suitable for their skin they can then purchase it.
