Jabra Clipper Headset: Bluetooth Undercover [Bluetooth]

Bluetooth technology really is handy and wonderful. Wearing Bluetooth headsets, though, can be a bit of a fashion and comfort nightmare. Enter the Jabra Clipper, which discretely gives any pair of 3.5mm headphones the Power of Bluetooth.

The controls are in the 20-gram Clipper itself, which you can, well, clip to your clothes. It connects to two devices at once, but if you’re listening to music from your PMP, calls will automatically override the song. You also get six hours of talk time and eight days of standby.

While there’s no word on US availability, the Clipper will be available soon in the UK for about $60. And don’t worry! It’ll be our secret. [Pocket-Lint]

Sungworld Android Tablet Apes Apple In Form and Function [Tablets]

Forget the fact that, for most of 2010, most tablets not branded Apple will be, fairly or unfairly, swept under the rug. OK, with that out of the way, here’s a peek at Sungworld’s upcoming 7-in. Android tablet:

It’s Apple-esque in the hardware department, sort of, and the same can be said of the UI, although there’s no video of it in action just yet. Editor’s Note: Yeah, so that means iPhone. Obviously I haven’t seen the mythical Tablet. Obviously.

Inside that thick, thick shell is an ARM926 CPU, 128MB memory and 2GB storage. Color selection will include pink, blue, green, black, purple and blue, so it’s got that on the mythical, all but confirmed Apple Tablet, in any event.

No pricing information is available to us at the moment, but…hey, what’s this thing over here that everyone’s talking about on Wednesday? [Shanzaiben via I4U via Engadget]

Cydle P29A spices up mundane spec sheet with Mobile TV capabilities

Well, it seems like South Korean companies aren’t fooling around when it comes to getting us riding that newly minted Mobile TV bandwagon. In the wake of LG announcing its first Mobile DTV devices this morning comes Cydle with the P29A PMP. It sports a 2.9-inch touchscreen (see what they did there?), an accelerometer for automatic reorientation, a world clock, and voice recording via a built-in mic. That’s a somewhat disappointing goodie list, considering the currently available HD radio-playing P29H (pictured for illustration purposes) also has GPS onboard. Still, you can snap up the A model in Q2 2010 for $199, which seems like a keen price when compared to the $499 Mobile DTV car tuner we’ve seen before.

Philips SA075 officially launched in Beijing, spotted in the wild

Hard to say exactly how many Earthlings (and Martians, for that matter) are jazzed about Philips’ forthcoming SA075 PMP, but it looks as if the wait for a ship date is drawing to a close. Over in Beijing, the player was recently showcased at a product launch party, and while a stateside release still hasn’t been talked about, it was confirmed that the HD playback will be capped at 720p (and not 1080p, as the unicorns and elves were hoping for). We’re also told that the display will boast an 800 x 480 resolution, an HDMI output will be onboard and at least a few gigabytes of storage will be included. Riveting, no?

[Thanks, Gavin]

DoDoNA’s S-100 mp3 player doesn’t need no stinkin’ ergonomics

Clearly, skinny jeans aren’t yet as popular in Korea as they are in Western lands. For if they were, we’d never see chunky cube-shaped players like this S-100 here, and the world would definitely be poorer for it. Taking its design cues from the mesmerizing Mintpass Cube, with a smidgen of old school iPod buttonry, this device boasts a 1.1-inch OLED display, FM radio, built-in speaker, voice recording, and a slightly pedestrian 4GB of integrated memory. No, it’s not exactly sterling value at nearly $170, but we have the suspicion that the S-100 was never targeted at the unimpulsive analytical types anyway.

iToos M6HD PMP Provides 1080i HD Output On the Cheap [PMPs]

Importers take note: This budget priced PMP doesn’t look like much, but she has it where it counts. It being price (about $60-$90) and output (1080i via HDMI).

The 4.3-inch screen supports a 1360×768 resolution, the internal storage checks in a 4GB, and there’s room for more memory thanks to memory card slot on the side.

Other goodies include 720p output for a monitor via HDMI out, and an FM radio.

iToos M6HD PMP outputs 1080i without breaking anyone’s bank

There’s really only two things you need to know about the iToos M6HD PMP, and at the risk of repeating the headline: it can output 1080i via HDMI and its price is pretty hard to argue with. As for the fine print, we’re looking at a 4.3-inch TFT screen with 480 x 272 resolution, 4GB internal memory upgradeable via memory card, and the usual variety of codecs you’ve come to expect from Asian PMPs, including FLAC audio and H.264 video. According to Akihabara News, it technically retails for only $58.50, but for the moment the best we’ve seen is online retailer Ownta for pocket change under $87.
